Mooky’s Cup 2022

The first tournament of the year for Dallas, Meagan, and myself is complete. For Meagan, it was her first PDGA tournament ever! Congrats to her for sticking it out and finishing only a handful of strokes behind her competition! As for myself, round one went great! I started 2/2 on birdies and finished 6 down on the blue pads at Johnson St which put me in a 3 way tie for 2nd place heading to lunch. Speaking of 3 way ties, Dallas also was sitting in one (tied for 7th) after round 1's completion. Round 2 was a whole different tale though. I hopped on the par train for most of the round and finished only 3 down on the jumble layout, dropping me down to a 7th place finish and quite a bad taste in my mouth. The weird thing was my drives were off which rarely is the issue with my game. I'll blame not having played that layout cause it's obviously not me...right? Dallas however finished strong! He shot the 3rd best round from the whites in round 2 at 6 down and that zoomed him all the way up to a 3rd place podium finish for the event, way to go dude! Dallas and I, along with Landon too, are all getting ready for next weekend's Alamance pro am! Get you a few new discs from the site before tournament season gets into full swing!
